If you have submitted a request under the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 2015 (ATIPPA, 2015) to a public body for access to a record or for correction of your personal information and you are not satisfied with the response, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (OIPC).

If you are a third party who received notice from a public body that it intends to release your business or personal information as part of an access request, you may file a complaint with OIPC.

If you have received a cost estimate from a public body in relation to an access request and you are not satisfied with it, you may file a complaint with OIPC.

If you believe that a public body improperly collected, used, or disclosed your personal information, you may file a privacy complaint with OIPC under ATIPPA, 2015.

You may apply to the Commissioner to disregard an access request within five business days of receiving it.

You may also apply to the Commissioner to extend the time to respond to an access request within 15 business days of receiving it.
