- Access to records that are in a public body’s custody or control, subject to limited and specific exceptions.

- File a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (OIPC) if you are not satisfied with a public body’s response to a request for access or correction.
- File a complaint with OIPC if a public body has improperly collected, used, or disclosed your personal information.
Personal Health Information Act
- Access to your own personal health information.
- Request a correction to your personal health information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- File a complaint with OIPC if you are not satisfied with a custodian’s response to a request for access or correction.
- File a complaint with OIPC if you believe on reasonable grounds that a custodian has improperly collected, used, or disclosed your personal health information.
There is no cost for filing a complaint under the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 2015 or the Personal Health Information Act.
